Why choose Nutrimuscle's Krill Oil Superba™ Boost?

Nutrimuscle has chosen a high quality Superba™ Boost oil from the Antarctic Krill species Euphausia superba. For more efficiency and to reinforce its benefits, Krill oil can act in synergy with omega 3s, contained in wild fish oil.

Krill Oil Superba™ Boost from Nutrimuscle naturally contains:

  • Choline
  • Astaxanthin
  • Omega 3 fatty acids EPA and DHA
  • Phospholipids

What is Krill Oil Superba™ Boost?

Krill is a small shrimp-like crustacean that lives mainly in the cold waters of the Antarctic Ocean. Its oil contains long-chain omega-3 fatty acids (EPA and DHA), phospholipids, choline and astaxanthin. All these nutrients contribute to the proper functioning of the body in general and promote cognitive and cardiovascular health.

What are the benefits of krill oil?

Protects the cardiovascular system

Thanks to its high content of fatty acids (EPA and DHA), krill oil contributes to cardiovascular health.

Fatty acids help to:

  • Reduce the risk of heart attack
  • Make the heart beat more regularly
  • Lower heart rate and blood pressure
  • Improve blood circulation
  • Regulate fats in the blood
  • Participates in the proper functioning of the body
  • Thanks to its richness in antioxidants, krill oil contributes to the proper functioning of the body.

Astaxanthin and choline help to:

  • Fight against oxidative stress
  • Protect cells from sports damage
  • Strengthen the immune response

Krill oil has an anti-inflammatory action that helps reduce pain and adapts to different situations:

  • Calms joint and muscle pain
  • Soothes sensitivities
  • Helps reduce body aches
  • Improves recovery

1. EPA and DHA contribute to normal heart function.

2. DHA and EPA contribute to the maintenance of normal blood pressure.

3. DHA and EPA contribute to the maintenance of normal blood triglyceride levels.

4. DHA contributes to the maintenance of normal vision.

Krill oil or traditional omega 3?

Generally speaking, both are an important source of omega 3s which provide numerous health and body benefits. Many manufacturers highlight the fact that krill oil, compared to traditional omega 3, by its higher bioavailability, allows cells to assimilate fatty acids more quickly. This assertion is only partially true, as it is the synergistic effect of the two oils that is most beneficial.

Indeed, the intake of krill oil supplemented with fish oil provides a better level of omega-3 and thus improves the effectiveness of its benefits. In addition, both oils complement each other in the variety of their components. Krill oil provides choline and astaxanthin, not present in fish oil. In synergy, the benefits are then multiplied and more numerous.

The assimilation of krill oil being done halfway in the intestine, it complements fish oil very well, which is assimilated at the beginning and maximizes the beneficial effects of omega 3.

Krill Oil Superba™ Boost extraction

Nutrimuscle krill oil meets the standards of sustainable and traceable fishing. The supplier is also the first krill oil supplier to have obtained MSC and Friends of the Sea certifications. In order to guarantee its benefits, it is important to choose a quality krill oil that guarantees a minimum content of pollutants and contaminants.

This is the case of Superba™ Boost krill oil, which attests to high quality because it comes from the pristine and unpolluted waters of the Southern Ocean, free of contaminants and toxins.

Purity of material guaranteed

As consumers of our products, we value traceability and transparency for our producers and supplements.

At Nutrimuscle, we only use very high-end raw materials whose quality is guaranteed by world leaders: Superba Boost™ krill oil from Nutrimuscle is supplied by the Australian company Aker BioMarine, the leading supplier of krill oil to have obtained MSC (Marine Stewardship Council) certification.

Nutrimuscle Krill Oil is sustainably and traceably sourced from the Antarctic krill species Euphausia superba. Aker BioMarine owns and controls the entire supply chain. The company completely oversees krill oil from harvesting in Antarctic waters to the final product. It has also achieved Friends of the Sea certification through sustainable practices and operations that ensure minimal pollutant content. AkerBioMarine® thus offers high quality ingredients with a high content of healthy active ingredients: phospholipids, omega 3 and astaxanthin.

What traceability?

Nutrimuscle choice: we have nothing to hide:

  • In order to harvest the least pollutants, the krill was caught in Antarctic waters, south of Australia
  • Crustaceans pass through the Montevideo logistics platform in Uruguay
  • The manufacture and extraction of krill oil is done in Houston

Components more in detail

  • Omega-3 fatty acids are provided through food or dietary supplements because the body cannot synthesize them. These are lipids derived mainly from fish fats.
  • Choline is an essential nutrient that the body needs to make neurotransmitters, which help ensure communication between neurons.
  • Phospholipids ensure better bioavailability, that is to say, better absorption by the body. They deliver omega-3s and choline to the parts of the body that need them most, such as the brain, heart, eyes, and liver.
  • Astaxanthin is a natural nutrient that belongs to the carotenoid family, considered a powerful antioxidant. Its properties are very beneficial to fight against oxidative stress, especially in the eyes.

Benefits of Nutrimuscle Krill Oil in more detail

Cardiovascular health

Thanks to its high content of fatty acids (EPA and DHA), krill oil helps reduce the risk of heart attacks and heart problems. Omega 3s help the heart beat more regularly. They jointly lower the heart rate as well as blood pressure (1) and improve the fluidity of blood circulation (2).

According to a study (3) carried out over a period of 12 weeks, krill oil would have helped to reduce cholesterol levels by 13 to 18% in testers. Same observation at the level of triglycerides, where thanks to the oil, the rate has clearly decreased by 27%. According to scientists, the exceptional results obtained with this oil come from the synergy of its nutrients rich in omega 3, phospholipids and antioxidants.

Participates in the proper functioning of the body

Attacks by free radicals lead to oxidative stress, a phenomenon that damages cells in the body. Krill oil is rich in astaxanthin and vitamin E: powerful anti-oxidants and anti-inflammatories that protect cells from damage and premature destruction. According to a study, astaxanthin also helps boost the immune response of the human body by improving the functions of lymphocytes and phagocytes (4). Choline also has an antioxidant action (5,6) and reinforces the effects of astaxanthin.

Relieves pain

Several studies show the effectiveness of the anti-inflammatory action of krill oil, which helps reduce pain (7). For this, the oil helps to reduce aches after exercise and thus effectively improves physical and muscular recovery.

Thanks to its anti-inflammatory action, krill oil fights, for example, against premenstrual syndrome and period-related pain. Results show that the oil helped reduce PMS-related discomforts, such as painful menstruation and dysmenorrhea (8). This action on pain is also effective on joint and muscle pain.

Cognitive health and neurotransmission

Choline plays an essential role in neurotransmission as well as in the synthesis of cell membranes (9). It improves the strength of muscle contraction.

The oil contains a high level of phospholipids and omega-3. Together, these two nutrients can work synergistically to enter the central nervous system. In addition, EPA also participates in the implication in the transmission of nerve impulses and would thus have demonstrated benefits on mood and depression (10).

Promotes digestive health

Krill oil contains astaxanthin, an antioxidant that helps reduce stomach inflammation (11). Phospholipids accentuate the benefits of astaxanthin and also allow better tolerance and better digestion of the supplement at the intestinal level.

Protects the skin

Krill oil protects and contributes to the well-being of the skin. In fact, according to one study, astaxanthin helps prevent skin aging linked to UV-B rays. Amino acids also help maintain the elasticity and suppleness of the skin.

Improves visual acuity

Krill oil has many benefits on vision thanks to its omega-3 DHA content and its antioxidants. Like the skin, it protects the eyes from the oxidative shock caused by UV rays.

1. EPA and DHA contribute to normal heart function.

2. DHA and EPA contribute to the maintenance of normal blood pressure.

3. DHA and EPA contribute to the maintenance of normal blood triglyceride levels.

4. DHA contributes to the maintenance of normal vision.
