According to Public Health France, food must contain:
- 5 fruits and vegetables a day
- A handful of unsalted nuts a day
- 1 complete/semi-complete starch per day
- 2 dairy products per day
- 500 g per week of meat
- Fish twice a week, including 1 oily fish
- Limit the consumption of refined sugars, salt, sugary drinks, added fats and deli meats.
In 2015, less than 3 out of 10 adults reached the recommendations for fruit and vegetables, dairy products and fish and half of the respondents and 4 out of 10 adults reached the recommendations for wholemeal and low-refined products, again according to Santé Public France .
These figures show a major food problem among the population. Processed products, too fatty, sweet and salty contribute to the degradation of the body and the deterioration of the immune system. Adopting a healthy and balanced diet prevents many diseases. It is therefore essential to give it priority.
