The appetite-suppressant effect of Nutrimuscle Nutrifibres depends on the dosage used. It takes effect in less than 10 minutes with dosages ranging from 14 to 24 g per day. On the other hand, with just 8 g per day, this only happens after 5 days of use. The longer you use the product, the stronger the appetite-suppressant effect becomes (1).

What are Nutrimuscle Nutrifibres?

Nutrimuscle Nutrifibres (Nutriose®) are carbohydrates obtained via the partial enzymatic hydrolysis of prolonged-energy-release wheat starch, which reduces feelings of hunger. When should I take Nutrimuscle Nutrifibres?

If it's just to guarantee your fibre intake, your Nutrimuscle Nutrifibres dose can be taken in one go. Ideally, take with breakfast first thing in the morning. Sticking to a schedule is simple strategy that ensures you don't forget to take your fibre.

When you are trying to manage your appetite in order to lose weight or gain lean muscle, spreading out your intake is better. In this case, there are three points to adhere to.

Take a dose at fixed times before each meal
In order to consume less at each meal, take Nutrimuscle Nutrifibres to fill your stomach 5 to 10 minutes before eating. This way, the feeling of fullness will develop earlier, which will limit your overall calorie intake.

Flexible use
When you're on a diet or simply trying to eat less, you often feel hungry and tired. Instead of eating or suffering in silence (which always ends with a trip to the fridge or vending machine), take Nutrimuscle Nutri-fibre to help bridge the gap.
Use with powdered proteins in order to prolong their effects
This strategy is particularly useful just before bed, in combination with total protein (proteins that are already slowly assimilated over 6 to 8 hours). Thus, the synergy between total protein and Nutrimuscle's Nutri-fibre gets you through the night without having to wake up hungry, all while producing a nocturnal anti-catabolic effet that will last until morning.
Similarly, if during the day you space out your meals as much as possible so that you eat less overall, the combination of total protein and Nutrimuscle Nutri-fibre will help you not to feel too hungry.

During weight training or cardio
When you train on an empty stomach in order to burn the maximum amount of fat, fatigue becomes a major obstacle. In this context, consuming a maltodextrin, dextrose, or Waxy Maize sports drink, even if it were able to counter fatigue, would reduce your body's use of fat as fuel. We are faced with an almost unsolvable dilemma here.

But since unlike other conventional carbohydrates Nutrimuscle Nutri-fibre provides energy while having only a low capacity to inhibit lipolysis, you can indeed take it during a workout on an empty stomach. This will give you more energy, allowing you to burn even more calories and therefore more fat, all while better boosting your metabolism. Obviously, these four strategies can be combined, especially if your calorie restriction is substantial.

In order to simply maintain your weight, a one-off such as Strategy 2 may be sufficient. But the greater the calorie deficit, the greater the benefits of employing Strategy 1.
Strategy 3 can be applied by anyone to increase their fiber intake for health reasons, or to better control lean muscle mass gain.

Quality products

There are 3 main classes of fibers:

  • Insoluble fiber which has no effect on appetite;
  • Soluble fibers such as guar gum or psyllium which modulate appetite thanks to their swelling, which makes them take up more and more space in the digestive system;
  • Soluble fibers which do not swell (Nutri-fibers Nutrimuscle) which reduce appetite thanks to their powerful natural modulating action of appetite suppressant hormones.

Latest generation fibers
The fact that Nutrimuscle Nutri-fibers are much more resistant to digestion than other fibers developed previously increases both its effectiveness, while improving tolerance.

Many old-generation fibers caused digestive disorders (gas, diarrhea or constipation, stomach ache ...) at least initially, before the digestive system got used to it. With Nutrimuscle Nutri-fibers, tolerance is much better and above all much faster, while having greater effectiveness.

The old fibers such as fructooligosaccharides (inulin, for example) induced contraction-relaxation phenomena of the intestine which often resulted in diarrhea. This intolerance to fibers made it difficult to use them for a week or two, while the digestive system acclimated to its new environment. These uncomfortable phenomena are less with Nutrimuscle Nutri-fibers (7-9).

Good digestive system tolerance
Medical research has shown that an amount of 50 g of Nutrimuscle Nutri-fiber, ingested in three doses over 24 hours, and this overnight, does not cause any digestive discomfort (7-9). With the old generation fibers, it was very rare for everything to go so well, so quickly.

Scientific analyzes show that Nutrimuscle Nutri-fibers are very well tolerated up to a dose of 45 g per day. With 80 g per day, the incidence of gas increases and mild constipation may develop (7-9). It is for this reason that it is not recommended to exceed 40 g per day, a dose which has also been widely proven in weight loss, as we have seen above.

If you want to go beyond 40 g, it is quite possible, but it will have to be done gradually, increasing gradually from day to day. Nutrimuscle Nutri-fibers remain the best tolerated fibers so far.

Benefits of Nutrimuscle Nutri-fibers in more detail

Dietary fibers play a double role in our life:

  • They are essential for health, particularly that of the digestive system as well as that of the immune system;
  • They reduce appetite by slowing down the entire digestive process.

Using fiber is therefore a very simple and healthy way to lose weight effectively. However, not all fibers are equally effective and do not guarantee an optimal effect in this dual function of health and fat loss. It is in order to produce optimal benefits that Nutrimuscle Nutri-fibers have been developed.

High fiber intake
Fiber is a carbohydrate that has the particularity of being poorly assimilated by the human digestive system. Only 15% of the calories of Nutrimuscle Nutri-fibers are assimilated like conventional carbohydrates. Thus, 75% is fermented in the large intestine, which provides the health benefits described below (1). The rest is not assimilated at all.

Nutrimuscle Nutri-fibers thus provide half the calories of conventional carbohydrates, while providing 85% of fiber, acting as a natural appetite suppressant. This very late assimilation of Nutrimuscle Nutri-fibers allows a very gradual and above all very slow influx of energy.

This results in only a small increase in the level of sugar in the blood and therefore an increase in the secretion of very low insulin. The glycemic index of Nutrimuscle Nutri-fibers is only 25 (2). Nutrimuscle Nutri-fibers provide energy approximately 45 minutes after taking; this energy will continue to flow into the blood for more than 2 hours after taking it. At the same intake with glucose, Nutrimuscle Nutri-fibers induce an increase in blood sugar, which is a third lower and above all an increase in insulin secretion reduced by 75% (2).

Our digestive system is not able to properly hydrolyze (digest) the carbohydrates contained in Nutrimuscle Nutri-fibers. These carbohydrates will therefore arrive, almost intact, to the intestinal flora. The Nutrimuscle Nutri-fibers will preferably nourish the good bacteria that colonize our intestines (3).

A 14% increase in good bacteria (Lactobacilli) and a 5% decrease in bad bacteria (Clostridium Perfringens) are noted after 14 days of daily use of 10 g of Nutrimuscle Nutri-fibers (1). It is this beneficial effect on good bacteria, essential for health, that we call the prebiotic action of Nutrimuscle Nutri-fibers.

Do not confuse prebiotics (which nourish and allow the development of bacteria in the digestive system) with probiotics, which themselves provide bacteria. This is the case with yogurts, for example. The problem with probiotics is that because they contain living organisms, they must be refrigerated constantly. This is obviously a problem with probiotic supplements which are only rarely refrigerated throughout the distribution chain. They will therefore gradually lose their effectiveness by the time they arrive in your refrigerator.
There is no storage problem with Nutrimuscle Nutri-fibers, which do not contain any living organism that may die over time.

Intestinal balance
Unlike blood, where acid is harmful to health, an acidic environment is good for the gut. The acid promotes the proliferation of good bacteria, while preventing the bacteria that make you sick (1). The use of 20 g per day of Nutrimuscle Nutri-fibers allows the intestinal pH to be lowered from 6.7 to 6 in 2 weeks.

The acidity also allows a better absorption of minerals such as calcium and magnesium. For example, for the latter, research shows that Nutrimuscle Nutri-fibers increase its assimilation by 67% (4).

Appetite suppressant and fat loss
In order to lose fat, you should reduce your calorie intake. After eliminating bad fats, it is by moderating carbohydrates that we ensure fat loss. Indeed, more than other nutrients, carbohydrates stimulate the secretion of insulin, a hormone that makes you hungry and prevents lipolysis (mobilization of fats from adipose tissue). So the more insulin you secrete, the less fat you can burn for fuel. The solution is to restrict your carbohydrate intake. The downside is that because of the lack of sugar, you are tired all the time and have trouble training.

On a diet (and in the lean muscle gain phase), Nutrimuscle Nutri-fibers have the advantage of only secreting very little insulin due to their slowness of absorption. They are therefore the carbohydrate of choice when you want to really dry out, while avoiding the untimely fatigue of low-carbohydrate diets.

More than other carbohydrates, Nutrimuscle nutri-fibers also very strongly inhibit the rise in hormones that increase appetite (5). Ultimately, this appetite suppressant effect will result in fat loss. Thus, in men, compared to a placebo (maltodextrin), taking 17 g of Nutrimuscle Nutri-fibers, twice a day, induces a weight loss of 1.5 kg in 12 weeks. The decrease in appetite and therefore food intake manifests itself within 3 days of use (6).
